James Forrest has put Celtic 3-0 up against St Johnstone in the 68th minute.
Matt O’Riley played the ball to Forrest in the box, but the Scottish winger still had plenty to do with an incredible finish past Dimitar Mitov, in what will be one of his best finishes in a Hoops shirt.
With Brendan Rodgers labeling Forrest as the best winger at the club last weekend after the Livingston defeat, despite Daizen Maeda scoring a hat-trick, some would have questioned Rodgers’ comments.
However, with a goal off the bench today, it is clear that Rodgers’ comments are having a positive effect not only on Forrest but also on Nicolas Kuhn, who also scored this afternoon.

At 32 years old, some would be forgiven for thinking that Forrest’s Celtic career was nearing its end, but it is clear that he and Rodgers work well together.
With a goal today and an assist last weekend, he is back to his best, and with Rodgers managing his minutes, Forrest brings an incredible threat off the bench when Celtic are down in games.
Having failed to make a big impact in the first half of the season, Forrest’s influence is beginning to be felt week on week.
