Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn has revealed a few of the surprising sources behind his recent upturn in form.
Over the past two matches, the wide man has scored one goal and assisted two others. His start to life in Glasgow was tough, but the German has now overcome his early struggles.
Kuhn has found his groove and after losing weight due to issues with his teeth, he has revealed how he’s got back on track. The attacker said: [Clyde 1 Superscoreboard] “I feel good.
“I had to get a lot of protein shakes and stuff, a lot of food, and now it’s all about working.
“Of course it’s difficult but I know what I’m able to do on the pitch so it was about time.”
With Yang Hyun-jun back available for selection for Livi, Kuhn will have slight competition for his place. Given his recent performances, though, he should start in Celtic’s next game.
One of the key responsibilities of most January signings is that they come in and have a significant impact on their club straight away. Although Kuhn didn’t do so immediately, he has shown encouraging signs in recent weeks, but the consistency must be kept.
Amid the backdrop of one of the closest title races in years, Celtic cannot afford passengers. Brendan Rodgers needs players who are ready to contribute with quality and over the past few games, the ex Ajax, Bayern, and RB Leipzig man has shown he can do just that.
