‘Love it’ – Patrick Roberts Responds to Celtic Related Post

Striker Adam Idah was announced as Celtic’s new number nine on transfer deadline day. Joining on loan from Norwich, the Irishman will spend the remainder of the current season in Glasgow.

His acquisition has not filled supporters with much confidence, although that does not go to say they won’t back Idah, who is currently only one of two fit and available centre-forwards at the club.

He is straight into the mix for Saturday’s match against Aberdeen at Pittodrie and after signing for the Hoops, Idah posted on Instagram admitting he was “buzzing” to make the move:

To the post, there were a few notable responders, one of which being departing Celt Mikey Johnston. He signed for West Brom on loan on Thursday but told his fellow countryman to “enjoy” his time in Glasgow.

Another winger who has previously played for the Celts who reacted to the post is Patrick Roberts. The now Sunderland man played for The Bhoys for two and a half years but also spent some time at Norwich where he linked up with Idah. He said that his old teammate would “love it” at the club.

Over the next few months, Idah has an opportunity to make his mark at Celtic and prove himself as a viable option. His signing and goal record have not filled fans with much optimism, but he will be aiming to prove his doubters wrong and become a success at Parkhead.
