Former Celtic winger Liel Abada could debut for his new team, Charlotte FC, this weekend. The treble-winning attacker signed for the American side at the beginning of March for eight million euros, a club record (Transfermarkt).
His off-the-park situation at the Hoops was not ideal, and both parties wanted an end to it. With the 22-year-old’s move to the States, they got their wish.
Recently, Abada was on international duty with Israel where he hailed his time at Celtic as amazing.
He has now moved onto pastures new, though, and this weekend, the winger could feature for Charlotte for the first time:

His side, who currently sit seventh in America’s top flight, take on Cincinnati tomorrow evening in the MLS at 11.30 pm UK time.
At his new club, Abada will want to make an impact similar to the one he made at Celtic a few years ago. In Ange Postecoglou’s maiden season, he came in as a teenager and instantly delivered.
A fruitful start in Glasgow paved the way for what turned out to be a hugely prosperous spell for the youngster. It is just a shame his time with The Bhoys ended in the manner it did.
