Celtic has confirmed the lineup for their upcoming summer tour in the USA, featuring high-profile matches against English Premier League giants Manchester City and Chelsea, as well as Major League Soccer’s DC United.
The tour is part of Celtic’s ongoing efforts to expand its global reach, following recent ventures in Australia and Japan.
The first announcement came on Monday, revealing Celtic’s clash with Chelsea at the Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, scheduled for July 27. The excitement continued into Tuesday with the addition of Manchester City and DC United to the tour itinerary. Celtic will face Manchester City at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, South Carolina, just four days before their match against Chelsea. The tour will kick off in Washington, DC, where the Scottish Premiership champions will play against DC United at Audi Field.

DC United will be halfway through their season when Celtic touchdown, so it’ll give the Celtic players a different challenge when compared to Man City and Chelsea, who will both be getting their players prepared for the season ahead.
