Celtic Urged To Sign 17-year-old Motherwell Sensation

Celtic have been urged to sign 17-year-old Motherwell sensation Lennon Miller by former Hoops utility man Charlie Mulgrew.

In Sunday’s game at Fir Park, Miller was hugely impressive. He played with maturity way beyond his years, setting up Blair Spittal with a lovely turn and lay-off in the first half.

Just a young teen, Miller is one of the brightest prospects in Scottish football. He is currently enjoying a productive breakout season with the Steelmen whom he has made 21 first-team appearances for in all competitions this campaign.

Many Celtic fans were impressed with the way the Scotland under-19 internationalist went about his business at the weekend, and Mulgrew has urged his old time to make a beeline for Miller: “He’s like a man the way he plays”, he said (live on air on Sky Sports via Glasgow Times).

“He is so clever. What a player. Level-headed boy. Comes from a good family as well.

“If I was Celtic or Rangers I would sign him now and have him in the team. What a player he is.”

Miller will still have a year remaining on his Motherwell deal come the summer transfer window, meaning Celtic would have to shell out a fee to sign the youngster.

It would be a calculated risk, however, because the ceiling of the midfielder is almighty. He has vast potential, and few Hoops supporters would be against the idea of recruiting one of the foremost upcoming talents in Scottish football.
