Celtic are preparing for a trip to Livingston this Sunday in the Scottish Premiership as the business end of the season well and truly begins.
While the news surrounding the increase in away allocations for Glasgow derbies encouraged fans this morning, Callum McGregor’s absence from training will not.

Ahead of the weekend’s match, The Bhoys prepared today and while the likes of Liam Scales, Maik Nawrocki, and Reo Hatate were all involved, the skipper wasn’t:

The last update we had on McGregor was from manager Brendan Rodgers two weeks ago. Then, he said that he expected the midfielder to return post-international break and that he’d be assessed pre-Livi.
If he has been assessed and is not in training, it is not a good sign although it doesn’t mean he won’t play at Ibrox.
There will inevitably be speculation surrounding his absence, but we can only trust what we hear from the horse’s mouth, and gaffer Rodgers will speak to the media later this afternoon.
