Celtic have another injury concern in the backline as they prepare for the visit of Dundee on Wednesday night.
Maik Nawrocki was unable to participate in training on Monday due to a leg issue, reports RecordSport.
He’s been receiving treatment for the injury, but Celtic are still waiting to find out the full extent of it and how long the Pole will be sidelined.
This development leaves Rodgers in a difficult position, especially with Nawrocki ruled out for the Dundee game and potentially more matches to come.
Nawrocki played an hour at Fir Park before being replaced by Carter-Vickers.
Carter-Vickers, who is also coming back from an injury, may not yet be ready to play a full 90 minutes, which complicates the selection decisions for Rodgers even further.
Stephen Welsh will come back into the squad, with Lagerbielke also an option, although he’s seen no action since the January transfer window.
It will likely see Scales and Carter-Vickers start at the back for Celtic, but it could be a massive risk throwing Carter-Vickers in from the start given his injury problems this season.
