Pundit Convinced Celtic Will Win “Comfortably” at Livingston

The final international break of the season is finally behind us and full focus for Celtic is now on the run-in.

The Bhoys travel to Livingston this Sunday in the first of their eight remaining league games.

Currently, Brendan Rodgers’ men sit pretty at the top of the table but when kick-off at the Tony Macaroni Arena comes in two days, they could be back trailing because their closest rivals Rangers are expected to pick up three points against Hibs on Saturday.

Pundit Gordon Dalziel thinks this will motivate Celtic further in a game that they will have no qualms winning. He said: [Clyde 1 Superscoreboard] “People used to say Livi was a difficult place to go to, I don’t see that anymore.

“I think Rangers will win at the weekend, that gives them (Celtic) the extra edge to go and get the three points which I think they will, and I think they will do it comfortably but Brendan Rodgers will have to take a seat in the director’s box and watch on.”

When Celtic last faced the Lions, they left it late but eventually came away worthy 4-2 winners in the Scottish Cup. As he takes things in from the stands, gaffer Rodgers will want something much more comfortable this time.

At this stage of the season, however, securing the three points is all that matters, particularly when things are as tight as they are at the table’s summit.
