Ryan Maher has announced his departure from Celtic’s media team, marking the end of a significant chapter both for him and for the club’s media presence.
Having joined Celtic as a senior reporter in November 2021, Maher quickly became a familiar face to fans through his work on Celtic TV and as the host of the Official Celtic Podcast. His tenure of two-and-a-half years saw him become a key part of the club’s media outreach, engaging fans with insightful content and bringing them closer to the team they love.
He also occasionally hosted Celtic TV’s matchday coverage for subscribers across the world.
Taking to X, formally Twitter, he shared the news of his departure, posting:
“Goodbye Celtic
“Ticking of countries, continents, trophies and unlocking moments that will live forever
“A childhood dream fulfilled and a properly special three seasons being able to travel the world and represent my club
“Onto something exciting.”
He seemed to really push Celtic’s online presence, particularly the video content, including vlogging his perspective of his trips with Celtic.
He’ll be a big miss to the Celtic media team and his replacement will have big boots to fill.
