In what’s turned out to be a closely contested title race, pundits have highlighted the critical role of Cameron Carter-Vickers in Celtic’s quest for the title.
As the teams head into the final stretch of the season, with Celtic narrowly leading by a point but having played an additional game, the significance of the upcoming fixtures, particularly the two clashes against Rangers, cannot be overstated. These matches will be decisive in determining the league’s outcome.
Falkirk captain Stephen McGinn, speaking on Go Radio, emphasised the indispensability of Carter-Vickers to Celtic’s defence. The American defender’s presence and consistency are viewed as essential for Celtic to maintain their advantage and secure the title.
McGinn pointed out the importance of Carter-Vickers playing every minute of the remaining matches, suggesting that his contributions could be the difference-maker in the tight title race.
He said: “Cameron Carter-Vickers, the level of importance to Celtic. I feel like I am saying it every single week but they are going to need to get eight 95+ minutes out of Carter-Vickers if they are going to win this league.”
Celtic have their key players coming back from injury for this last run of games, if they keep them fit it’ll be a massive boost for Brendan Rodgers and his side.
