Aberdeen Legend Perplexed As To Why Celtic Didn’t Sign Bojan Miovski

Celtic’s 1-1 draw with Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon posed several questions. Boardroom concerns were once more raised, as was the matter of Bojan Miovski.

The North Macedonian hitman opened the scoring in the match with a wonderful finish into the far corner that completed a sublime Dons move. His strike was cancelled out just under fifteen minutes later by Nicolas Kuhn, but it left many Celtic supporters wondering why he wasn’t signed by the club last month.

As we know, Adam Idah was the striker of choice who was brought in the door in January and although he made an impressive debut at the weekend, the discussion surrounding Miovski and the Hoops hasn’t gone away.

The 24-year-old was linked with a move to Parkhead at the beginning of December but evidently, nothing concrete surfaced. He hit Celtic where it hurts on Saturday, but Pittodrie legend Willie Miller has been left perplexed as to why the champions didn’t make a move for the centre-forward in January.

In high praise of Miovski, Miller was speaking on BBC Sportsound (via Football Scotland): “Why did Celtic not go and sign him?”, he questioned.

“He’s the man. Star performer. What a magnificent strike. Celtic had money, why didn’t they go and get him?”

In the end, Idah joined the club on loan until the end of the season. Miovski undoubtedly has quality, but a move, at least in the knowledge of the fans, was never made.
