Adam Idah was handed his Celtic debut on Saturday afternoon away at Pittodrie. Less than 48 hours after signing for the Hoops, the Irish frontman was thrown into the deep end with just over half an hour to go.
Idah led the line for the final third of the match and despite Celtic dropping points, he was rather impressive. The 22-year-old made a noticeable difference when he came on, linking the play nicely.
His introduction allowed Kyogo to drop deeper and get on the ball more frequently, with Idah also helping to set up Nicolas Kuhn’s first goal for the club. The pair combined nicely inside the box with the striker playing in the German wide man who fired in via a deflection.
Idah, however, couldn’t go on to help his team find a winner in what was a disappointing afternoon for those of a green and white persuasion. The match was equally as concerning, with questions naturally and rightly being raised over the team’s ability to go on and win the title.
